9月18日 Baby StellaOur beautiful baby has finally arrived! We feel so blessed to have such a cute and healthy baby!! She was born on Sept 8th at 7:52 am. I was in labor for 12 hours but only had to push for 47 minutes. The epidural did not work from 3:00 am on, and the pain was intense. It was all worth it when that put that 7 lb 11 oz, 20.5 inch bundle of joy on my chest. She is such a doll and such a good baby. Her mama and daddy are absolutly in love with her. I have a feeling she is going to be spoiled rotten! She was a little jaundice when she came home and had to stay under the bili light bed for 24 hours. Baby Stella did great and did not even cry... however mama was still an emotional wreck! Dad and Grandma stayed by her side all night long and woke me every two hours to feed her. She is happy and healthy now and is excited to meet all of her family and friends! 4月9日 It's A GIRL!!Well, it’s official. We went to the doctor and it has been determined that the fetus growing inside of me is a baby girl!! We are so very excited. I’m 17 ½ weeks now and I felt the baby moving around this weekend for the first time. We are pretty set on the name Stella Jayne and her due date is September 13, 2007. I can’t believe that we are going to have a baby, its exciting and scary all at the same time. We have bought some little outfits and my Whitney gave me all of Kaya’s 0-3 month clothes. I think this child is going to be well dressed! There are so many things that we need to buy… crib, car seat, stroller, rocking chair and all of the little stuff. I still have a few months to buy everything and I’m sure I’ll have a baby shower or two, so I’m sure it will call come together soon enough! 12月26日 ThankfulI have been so blessed this year! So many great things have happened and I thought I'd share them for those of you that choose to read this.
In January of this year I was blessed to have found a new job. It has been such a great experience for me. I have learned so much and have met so many great people! It is great to work in an environment where people care for me and make me feel apreciated! It has put us in a great financial position which is helping us begin investing. Last week was our work Chritmas party. I was awarded the "Leslie Moss Award... aka Processor of the Year Award", I was absolutly blown away by this! My award included an all expense paid trip to Hawaii, airfair, hotel and $500 spending cash. Can you say AWESOME?? You can find me and my lovely husband on the sandy beaches in March!!
June was by far the best month of the entire year!! Joe's 18 month deployment finally came to an end and he was able to come back home to me! What a great blessing to have him home safe! IT has been so great just being with him. I've found myself in tears a few times over the past few months just because he is actually here! He is so good to me and makes me feel so happy! Having him home is absolutly amazing!
September was pretty fun! Joe and I were finally able to take a honeymoon! We were scheduled to go to Mexico, but hurricane Lane quickly changed our plans as the last minute. Due to turanchal storms we were re routed to Orlando, Fl. We went to Disney Land, The Kennedy Space Center and ate like kings! We had such a good time, it was fun to be away together.
In October we headed up to Island Park, ID. We immediatly fell in love with its beauty! We were able to look at some land that we are now the proud owners of! Its 2.6 acres in the most beautiful gated community I have ever seen! The lake, trees and flowers are breathtaking!
December brought us much good fortune! On December 14 we were able to close on TWO homes in the Salt Lake Valley. One of which we moved into this past week! We are setting up house quickly and feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful place to live. The other home we purchased is a little house on 30th south with a mother in law apartment in the basement. We are currently looking for renters for the upstairs and anticipate it to rent quickly. Its such a cute little house, anyone could fall in love with it!
THis is just a short list of the many things I have to be thankful for this year! Its seems as if our blessing are abundant! I am thankful for each and everyone of my family and friends. They are the ones who have shaped me into the person I am today! I am blessed to know all of you!
10月4日 Kaya Starling MonsonMy sister Whitney and her husband Matt had their first baby on Friday September 29. It was a little baby girl, 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 in long. She is just a doll!! We were able to go up to Logan to see her on Sunday and she is just beautiful! Take a look at the pictures! Both mom and baby are healthy! 9月11日 Bridal Pictures....finallyOver the weekend I finally had my bridal pictures taken. I was married almost a year ago and due to the circumstances we were married in four days which did not give us much time for planning a traditional wedding. The only thing that I was sad I did not have was bridal pictures. My sister Whitney happens to be an amazing photographer (and make up artist). So we finally decided to go and take my bridal pictures. She is 8 months pregnant and we decided if we did not do it before the baby came then they may not get done at all. She took over 650 pictures (literally) and only had one contraction along the way. We went to Tony Grove up Logan Canyon and it was absolutly beautiful! My mom came along with my niece and nephew and my friend Nick came to be the photographers assistant. Everything turned out better than I could have ever hoped! I've attached my favorite pictures for all of you! 9月7日 HouseWe put an offer in on a house on Labor Day. We found out that we got it!!! I am so excited. The house is in Sandy and its so so cute! Its three bedrooms two bathrooms and simply amazing. It has hard wood floors and an amazing yard! I'll post pictures one day! It so exciting to become a home owner - I'm the luckiest girl in the world!!!
Also... the time is finally almost here... we're headed to Mexico on the 17th!! i'm sure I'll have plenty of pixx to post once I get back! I"m not sure how I became the happiest girl in the world, but I have a feeling it has somthing to do with a little someone named Joe!!! 8月20日 LifeLife is good! Joe has been home for over two months now. Its so great having him home. Its about time we are able to be really married! He has definitely made me the luckiest girl alive - he is so great! We have not really done anything too crazy since he arrived. We took a trip down to Cedar City to visit his parents, up to Logan to see my sister, and on to Island Park Idaho and Yellowstone.
Work is going really good for me, things have slowed down a bit which has been really nice. Joe starts school on Wednesday at the University of Utah. He has six classes left and is currently registered for three of them. All of the other classes he needed were full so he is going to try and add them the first few days of school.
We are in the process of purchasing some land in Island Park, Idaho. We fell in love with its beauty when we visited. The lot is just under 3 acres in a gated community right on the lake. Its amazing! We are not sure how long we will hold on to the property, we will most likely not have it long term, but we hope to make a little bit of money off it whenever we decide to sell it. And in the mean time it will be a great place to get away and camp.
We purchased new car the week after Joe got home. Its a Nissan Versa. Its a cute little car and it has excellent gas mileage, it gets 38 miles to the gallon- its been great for our travels! We definitely needed two cars since I work in Orem and Joe will be at the U. I guess there is such thing as public transportation, but since my car is nearly paid off we decided to have the luxury of two cars for now.
Our apartment is cute and we finally have everything we need. We decided to not have a wedding reception (mostly because I was too lazy to plan one)--- so my mom and sisters threw us a bridal shower and we got some great gifts. The only thing on my want list now is a real kitchen table and a sewing machine. But those may just have to wait until I have a house to put them in.
That is pretty much all I have to say right now. I've rambled on about this and that for long enough. Until next time... 6月13日 He's Almost Home!!I never thought this week would come! 18 months has come and past finally and Joe is actually on his way home, and this time for good!!! I talked to him about 36 hours ago and he was in Kuwait. I am guessing that he is on his way to Mississippi by now where he will do his out processing for 3-5 days. I'm sure he will call me when he gets there, I think I may have to catch my breath when he tells me he is in the US. He is so close to coming home now, I can hardly believe it!
My mom came up and helped me unpack my house and hang all of my pictures on the wall a few nights ago. I've been working really late and I have not had the chance to do anyhting of the sort. She was here until two in the morning helping me, she is a good worman, I'm not sure what I would do without her!
I'm trying to get as much as I can wrapped up at work so I can have a stress free vacation with my husband when he arrives. I'm so busy at work right now its ridiculous, but all of the girls said they will help me out while I am gone. I am so blessed to have such a good job with such great people! I''m sure the week is going to consist of a lot of late nights, but it will be well worth it when I'm gone, i wont be as stressed knowing that I have done everything I can possibly do!
So Joe should be in America today and home by Sunday (i hope). Its going to be so nice to get our lives started and move on from this deployment!! 5月14日 New PlaceI spent the weekend packing and moving. All of my stuff is finally in what will be mine and Joe's apartment!! Its really quite exciting! All of Joe's stuff is still in our storage unit, and i'm not feeling ambitious enough to move it over without him. So, we'll bring it all over when he gets home in a few weeks. The apartment is really going to be cute, there are going to be lots of empty walls for now, but one day we'll have stuff to fill them! I'm just excited that we finally have an apartment that is OURS!! I still have some unpacking and organizing to do, but within a few days my life will be in order. I'll be taking pictures once it looks cute! 4月16日 Birthday FunMy friends took me out to dinner at Good Wood for my birthday. After dinner we went to Heathers house to play games and hang out. I had a really good night and got a lot of great gifts! I really have the best friends in the world! I am so thankful for all of them! They make my life so great! I've posted some pictures of my evening.. enjoy! |
